Macy’s recently fired employee, Natalie Johnson, had refused to let a transgender customer…

I don’t get stories like this I plain just do not get them.

Why are Christians saying this is a violation of their beliefs? No one asked that employee to be trans* or have sex with someone of the same gender or anything that would directly violate her Christian beliefs.

I just don’t even understand.

That would be like someone who is a devout Muslim suing America for not having a dress code more befitting of their beliefs.

I’m the co-chair, and organizer for a local outreach program that was just started in my town to help queer kids and allies.

I put together some “info handouts” and we’re all really excited about them.

Please let me know if you have ideas for more, or how we should change them to be even more inclusive.

the way some of these things are worded can be problematic, for example saying that FTM Transgender means being born with female genitalia… when in reality that person may be FAAB.  Their genitalia are not female because they are not attached to a female. (And this also applies to MTF) 

Also I think the preferred terms are heterosexism and cissexism rather than homophobia or transphobia.  Referring to these things as phobias is considered ableist when in reality these are not phobias, they are bigotries and learned behaviors.

But yeah, pass this around, if anyone can find anything else to fix on this please let  the OP know!
