Does anyone else hate the phrase “ruined for”

as in

“That restaurant ruined me for steak sandwiches for the rest of my life”

it’s so… creepy and it originates from sex right? As in, once you’ve had it, you’re ruined.  Right? Right? Or maybe it just sounds that way to me…

  2. loveinthetimeofscience said: I could see it meaning “It was such a good steak sandwich that none can ever compare” or “it was so bad I can’t ever eat another one again.” but not sure how the comparison translates to being a sex-negative thing.
